Working hard is always fun for me but I don’t like to care about the last train. That’s why I made my den under my desk like the photo above. It’s cool isn’t it? I can enjoy camping everyday if I want. Not only sleeping is my work. When I turned on, my desk is going to tranform like this. Now my bed became a couch behind my desk. In 1996, Japanese TV picked up behind the scene of legendary Silicon Valley start-up “Netscape”. The disclosure of how Netscape guys working, eonjoying and bedrooms under desks were shocked for a 12 years old kid and their passion through the show changed his life. Yes it was me. It was start of my start-up life.

We are a small team but even so there’s quite a mix of interests, personalities and even food tastes amongst the members of messaliberty. One reason I joined messaliberty was that I would have an opportunity to learn more things in my chosen fields.  Usability, IA, online marketing and so on. Learning by doing is a big part of working at a start-up. I asked the team what skills they are looking to learn and master.  Here some of things they mentioned. Tons of manga magazines go on sale every week in Japan. I can’t figure out how many magazines there are, and which one is the best. But Yassan knows it well cos he subscribes some of major manga magazines. We can find some of it at the office like a picture. Maybe he’ll recommend his favorites at this blog soon.

Chapp as well as being our main designer, cooks and serves us up lunch and dinner.  But this isn’t about how great a chef he is, I’ll let someone else write that post.  It is about how difficult his task must be because of the differing tastes of each member.  Let me reveal what we don’t eat. Chapp himself: He isn’t keen on shiitake mushrooms but does eat them.  He doesn’t eat oysters.  Obviously he doesn’t cook what he won’t eat so no kaki-fry for us. :( Har: He doesn’t eat mushrooms, or black-looking things so shiitake are definitely out.  Not keen on dried fruit like raisins or dried persimmons.
